What is a DIN 2353 bite-type tube fitting?
A DIN 2353 (ISO 8434-1) fitting uses a 24-degree cone and a cutting ring (ferrule) that bites into the tube outer diameter during assembly, creating a leak-tight metal-to-metal seal. This design provides vibration resistance and allows multiple reassemblies without seal degradation.
What pressure ratings are available for your DIN fittings?
We offer three series: LL (low pressure, up to 100 bar), L (medium pressure, up to 500 bar for carbon steel), and S (high pressure, up to 800 bar for carbon steel / 630 bar for stainless steel). The specific rating depends on tube size.
What is the advantage of Zn-Ni coating over standard zinc plating?
Our Zn-Ni (zinc-nickel alloy) coating provides significantly superior corrosion resistance: 720 hours without white rust and 1500 hours without red rust in salt spray testing (ASTM B117). Standard zinc plating typically fails at 96-200 hours. This makes Zn-Ni ideal for marine, offshore, and outdoor hydraulic applications.
Can you supply DIN fittings in stainless steel?
Yes, we manufacture the complete DIN fitting range in SS316L stainless steel. Stainless steel fittings are recommended for corrosive media, food-grade applications, and marine environments. Working pressures are slightly lower than carbon steel equivalents.
